To donate a copy of your book as a local author to the Library's Local Author Shelf, follow these steps:
- Download and Print the Form: Download and print the form provided on the Local Author Shelf page on the Library’s website.
- Complete the Form: Fill out the required information on the form.
- Return Form and Book to the Library: Take the printed form along with a donated copy of your book to the Library.
Terms and Criteria:
- The Local Author Shelf is for works published by authors from the Jefferson County area.
- All submissions must meet the Collection Development Policy’s selection criteria. Submissions that are not accepted into the Library’s collection will be given to the Friends of the Library book sale, donated to other non-profit agencies, or recycled where appropriate.
- Donated materials will be subject to the same standards as all other library material and may be reconsidered, weeded, and withdrawn in the course of time. Materials which have been withdrawn and are in good condition will be given to the Library’s Book Sale, donated to other non-profit agencies, or recycled where appropriate.
